With increasing pressure on time, space and expectations in performance Asheridge stock the broadcast connectors developed by Whitesands including their Air range of ultra high spec connectors. Both in BNC and 1.0/2.3 DIN format these single piece connectors will save time and there for money. Assembly is just a matter of stripping the cable and inserting it in to the connector, in the case of the BNC compressing the connector and the 1.0/2.3 crimping the connector. No multiple crimps or fiddly little parts to drop and lose. Ensuring good quality, simple, reliable terminations.
With the mini 1.0/2.3 connector you can increase your connection density up to three times that of the BNC thereby making substantial space savings. Both connectors are designed to pass the latest high speed 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SDI signals. With headroom up to 4.5Ghz these connectors will exceed the bandwith required modern HD broadcast applications. With the advent of HD-SDI, dual link HD-SDI and then 3G SDI traditional BNC termination has struggled to cope with the new higher bit rates and frequencies involved with 1080P HD acquisition and routing.
The Air BNC is also a single piece compression connector for speedy, robust and extremely reliable termination. Designed to the highest tolerances and utilising air, hence the name, as the most effective dielectric. Tested up 4.5Gbits/s the AirBNC easily copes with the most challenging production environments. Supplied in three different sizes to work with mini-RG59, RG59 or RG6 solid core cable as the ideal signal path.
To ensure a clean and reliable job Asheridge can make panels to meet your specifications – with ports for all types of connectors. Specify panel height (1U-4U or larger), the number of ports, the type of connectors to be mounted and screening or labelling requirements. We also provide blank panels, right-angle and off-set wire management brackets and cut-out panels without connectors.
