The Cat5Blaster is a modular system enables high quality video and audio to be distributed over long distances using inexpensive network cable (CAT5 unshielded twisted pair). It has three independent video channels and so may configured for component video, s-video plus composite video, 3 X composite video or RGsB*. It can also be configured for analogue stereo or digital audio as required and there is provision for IR feedback from each receiver to enable control of the source equipment near the transmitter. The Cat5Blaster consists of a Transmitter and Master Receiver (for 1:1 distribution). Additional Slave receivers may be added as required for multi-room distribution.
(*A SyncBlaster Black Box SBBOX may be required to convert digi-box type RGB to RGsB).

KEENE CAT5BLASTER QC TRANSMITTER & RECEIVER

If you don't need the multiple locations or three video channels features of the Cat5Blaster then consider the CAT5BLASTER QC for quick and easy 1:1 distribution via CAT5 cable of s- or composite video plus stereo audio.The CAT5BLASTER QC will accept and distribute one or two composite video channels, or one svideo channel, and L & R audio. Requires no power supply, provides a good output signal at distances up to 100m cable run from the input.

16x16 Cat5e Distribution

Housed in industry standard 19” chassis, this popular range of distribution switch hubs service multiple display screens via RJ45 connectors mounted on the front panel. Video and audio input connections are made via RCA (Phono) connectors mounted on the rear. Each hub has RS232 I/O connectors for control by a PC ‘Windows’ application supplied or by any proprietary touch-screen control system

Each hub has an integral mains power supply providing power for the hub and all of its remote interface receivers. RS232 input and output connections are provided for external control using the management software provided. Examples include timely broadcasting, forced channel selection and barring of individual channels.

Where more than one hub is required to increase display numbers the RS232 data control is looped between hubs allowing the supervisor to control several hubs from one com port either locally or via modem.

Two small receiver units are available. One for standard SCART connection and one with RCA (Phono) output connectors. Each receiver is supplied with an infra-red detector eye for user channel selection and control of the input device connected to the input. This provides for controlling set-top-boxes such as TV decoders, DVD, VCR etc.

Provision systems incorporate all the features currently offered by traditional coaxial broadband installations but with greater flexibility to move television sets and other viewing and listening equipment around a building. And provide for multi-point remote control of satellite decoders, VCRs, DVDs and other devices usually cabled into a dedicated location. By centrally locating all of these devices in a closet or study, home-owners can now patch into any data outlet and take complete control from any room in the building using standard infra-red handsets. The systems unique design provides for an entry level cost installation by simply back - back connection of a single Scart transmitter and a single Scart receiver as shown below. These two components will provide full video, stereo audio and IR command for a single zone installation of Digital Terrestrial, Satellite or Cable Television.
In the event that the home owner wishes to upgrade this setup, both components are compatible with the PRO-6000 switch system, therefore eliminating further expense on redundant product

5 Chanel UHF/VHF Demodulator

The PRO-6010 is complimentary to the PRO-6000 distribution hub for installations where several rooms in a home share a single Satellite Digital Decoder. The unit contains five (5) high-grade TV tuners which may be pre-tuned and set to output five Terrestrial TV channels for connection to the PRO-6000 hub.
Typically in the UK this may be BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Ch4 and Ch5 such that these channels are available in all home locations while the Satellite Decoder is being used for other channel viewing

Phono Transmitter

The 6005 has the same specification as the 6002. The difference is the input connectors are RCA phono for use with devices that do not have a scart output. (PSU required see PRO-0001)

Phono Receiver

The 6004 receiver has the same specifications as the 6001. The only difference is that the output connectors are RCA Phono. Some Plasma’s and LCD projectors do not have scart inputs, so the 6004 has been introduced to over come this problem

Scart Transmitter

The scart transmitter is used in two different applications. When used in conjunction with the 6000 system the 6002 is used to send back signals from appliances like DVD players and VCR’s which would normally be located in the main living room. The 6002 can also be used with either the 6001 or 6004 to create a one to one link. This enables you to remote a device like a Sky satellite box over CAT5e type cable up to distances of 300m. The units will transmit the video and audio signals along with the IR signal, so you can control the device from the remote location using the handset supplied with the device. (PSU required see PRO-0001)

Scart Receiver

The 6001 receiver is compatable with both the 6000 and 1000 transmitter products. The receiver simply plugs direct into the scart input of any standard TV set. On the reverse side of the receiver is a RJ45 connector for connection to the RJ45 wall outlet. This also applies to Plasma and LCD screens that have scart inputs. A scart connector is a European standard connector used on all domestic TV’s and related equipment. The receiver eye also shown in the picture takes the infrared command from your handset and sends that command to the Scion TV system
